A 30 kilometer drive north of Kerikeri would lead you to Matauri Bay, which is one of New Zealand's most beautiful places. This is a favourite aquatic playground for travellers like me. Surfing, fishing and other activities can be enjoyed here with ease. The hills surrounding Matauri Bay offer panoramic views of the nearby Cavalli Islands. This panorama can be seen while you approach Matauri Bay by road. The beautiful view has been called the million dollar view and is a must-see if you're travelling to the Bay of Islands.
