A favourite location in Queenstown for tourists and locals alike is Lake Esplanade. This stretch of the road is central and leads to the Queenstown Central Business District. With apartments on one side and a park fronting Lake Wakatipu, Lake Esplanade gives you a picturesque mountain and lake view. A picture with the lake front in the background would be treasured by you for ages to come.

Another interesting location is Bennet’s Bluff. This point provides you with a view of Lake Wakatipu as well as the impressive Mt Earnslaw. A drive to Glenorchy Road from Queenstown in the afternoon is the perfect escape. Car rental in Queenstown options would get you there right in time for sunset. Enjoy the view with your family with a photo! The offers are brilliant here with many of them giving out bonus points to tourists.

Skippers Canyon is another such picturesque location and has steep drops. Under the New Zealand Historic Places Trust protection, Skippers Road is an adventurous mountain road overlooking awe-inspiring mountain-tops. For a simple experience visit the Queenstown Gardens that are set on a peninsula near the city centre. Beautiful flower beds, ducks, enticing gardens, tennis courts and even an ice-skating rink will keep you and your family busy!

The Skyline Gondola is on top of the steepest Southern Hemisphere lift on Bob’s Peak. The top reaches a height of half a mile and makes for the best snapshots. You can view The Remarkables, Coronet Park and the amazing Lake Wakatipu from here.

Visit Queenstown for the vacation of a lifetime!
