It is South Island's largest city and is one of the most vibrant cosmopolitan places that should not be missed while you are in New Zealand. One should definitely visit this place for festivals, theatre, shopping, modern art galleries and the most exciting of all - FOOD!
While you are in the city, you can enjoy the high standard cuisine anywhere! Al fresco restaurants, cafes and bars serving amazing delicacies and local wines adding to the charm of this city down south.

• Botanic Gardens
• Orana Wildlife Park
• International Antarctic Centre
• Canterbury Museum
